The whole family took something away from the owl center. We took time meandering through all of the exhibits and watched one of the hour long presentations. Definitely make time if you're in the area really knowledgeable staff and pretty neat getting to see some live owls and learn their habits. We purchased a bunch of stuff from the gift shop rather than donating. But they need donations for the new building that will triple the size and have all the aviaries for the birds on site.

This place is such a gem. Not only for conservation but education in general. We learned so much about owls, their habits, how to be good stewards of their habitats... They have 3 learning programs to choose from, which is taken by popular vote at the beginning of the lecture as to which one the audience would like to do. Adie, our guide, was absolutely amazing, a "hoot" you might say. She can mimic an owl like no other. We will be returning hopefully after the new center is constructed. It was a great way to spend an afternoon in MN.

What an absolute Gem here in Houston MN.! IV been around this area my whole life and never knew that somewhere so important, special, and crucial! Owls are cool to anyone, and if you have never gotten a chance to look an owl in its eye.... You need to. And these wonderful folks who know what they need are here to help spread the importance of what they do.

Had a good time. Got to sit in on one of the educational classes they have and got to see the owls up close. Staff was very friendly and even though the space was on the smaller side it was packed full of educational materials as well as a gift shop with some unique items. Would definitely go again
